Congress sessions are geared toward participants with different levels of experience and different positions. You may attend the sessions of your choice. The information below can help you choose the most appropriate sessions for your needs and interests.

At the start of ECCMID, a series of Educational Workshops will take place. They are organised in cooperation with ESCMID Study Groups and partnering organisations.When: Saturday morning, 25 april 2015 Cost: Participation is free of charge to ECCMID attendees. No additional registration required.

Meet-the-Expert Sessions led by experts in their fields. These sessions rely on active participation of the audience. After a short presentation, the expert will open the session for discussion. 
When: Sunday through Tuesday, the day will start at 07.45am

For this year’s TAE Trainees Day at ECCMID, the Trainee Association of ESCMID (TAE) has launched a brand-new and exciting format which is called “everything you always wanted to discuss directly with an expert”. Two sessions with 10 round tables each will be hosted in total by 20 renowned experts with different profiles in the fields of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. Lectures of 60 minutes will be given by opinion leaders in their fields as well as by the winners of the ESCMID Excellence and Young Investigator Awards 2015.

Parallel symposia will convene with renowned speakers from Europe and other continents who will cover a wide range of recent developments in their fields. A number of symposia are arranged in cooperation with ESCMID Study Groups, while others are jointly organised with partnering societies or organisations. Symposia that are arranged by the industry are organised in close cooperation with the ECCMID Programme Committee. They are an integral part of the scientific programme (Integrated Symposia).

Oral Sessions

In parallel to the above-mentioned symposia, you will also find sessions from abstracts selected for oral presentation, which are indicated by the prefix “O” in front of the programme numbers. The presenting author is indicated with an asterisk (*).

ePoster / Poster Sessions

Most of the accepted abstracts are scheduled for poster presentation. The selection is based on a blind review by at least three experts in each field.When: from Saturday through Tuesday
